Optus manufactures coatings for maritime and marine applications. These include high friction systems (for general deck areas and for vehicle decks and ramps), lightweight deck screeds and others.
The core product in the range is Eurogrip Marine.
Eurogrip Marine
A heavy-duty anti-skid coating for use on general dockside areas and on boatdecks, car decks, etc. Ideal for car carrying ferries, vehicle transporters, dockside car parks, quays, piers and similar.
It is a 'coat and scatter' system using a 3 component resin adhesive. A high friction grit such as calcined bauxite (up to 3mm size) is scattered onto the surface of the adhesive and the residue removed after the resin has cured.
Eurogrip Marine is rapid curing and can be applied to steel, concrete, asphalt and timber. It is supplied in colours to suit the aggregate used. Optus will advise on the aggregate size, type and supplier.
Eurogrip Marine is a heavy duty high friction product that cures down to 50oC and in 2 to 2½ hours at 200oC, is flexible and contains no solvents.
