Optus manufactures a range of marine coatings for use on RORO, Ropax, PCTC vessels and Linkspans.
These include high friction anti-skid systems lightweight deck screeds and others.
The core product in the range is Eurogrip Marine.
Eurogrip Marine
A heavy-duty anti-skid coating for use on general dockside areas, on boat decks, car decks, etc. Ideal for car carrying ferries, Roll on Roll off, Ropax, PCC and PCTC vehicle transporters, quays, piers and similar. The system provides a strong, high durability anti-skid surface to facilitate safe loading and discharge of vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
Eurogrip is a 'coat and scatter' system using a 3 component resin adhesive. This is applied over the area be treated following which a high friction grit such as calcined bauxite or Dynagrip (up to 3mm size) is scattered onto the surface. The residue of grit is removed after the resin has cured. The system exhibits exceptional adhesion to Steel, Concrete and Timber.
Eurogrip Marine is rapid curing and can be applied to steel, concrete, asphalt and timber. It can be supplied in colours to suit the aggregate used.
Eurogrip Marine is quick to apply and can be opened to traffic in under 2 hours ensuring a fast return to service. The system can be applied at low temperatures, is easy to maintain and repair and has a Class 1 fire rating meeting the IMO standards for flammability, smoke and toxicity.

Eurogrip Marine is a heavy duty high friction anti-skid product that cures down to 5oC and in 1.5 to 2.5 hours at 20oC, is flexible and solvent free.
Eurogrip Marine anti-skid finishes can be further protected with the additional application of either a polyurethane or epoxy seal coat to give added chemical resistance and colour demarcation.
