Optus manufactures coatings for maritime and marine applications.
These include high friction systems (for general deck areas and for vehicle decks and ramps), lightweight deck screeds and others.
The core product in the range is Eurogrip Marine.
Eurogrip Marine
A heavy-duty anti-skid coating for use on general dockside areas, on boat decks, car decks, etc. Ideal for car carrying ferries, vehicle transporters, quays, piers and similar.
It is a 'coat and scatter' system using a 3 component resin adhesive. This is applied over the area be treated following which a high friction grit such as calcined bauxite (up to 3mm size) is scattered onto the surface. The residue of grit is removed after the resin has cured.
Eurogrip Marine is rapid curing and can be applied to steel, concrete, asphalt and timber. It is supplied in colours to suit the aggregate used. Optus will advise on the aggregate size, type and supplier.
Eurogrip Marine is a heavy duty high friction product that cures down to 5oC and in 2 to 2½ hours at 20oC, is flexible and solvent free.
